California has long been on the forefront of protecting workers from the hazards of excessive heat. 经过多年的努力, health and safety activists pushed Cal/OSHA to finally enact emergency regulations to protect workers from outdoor heat in 2006 following a surge in heat-related deaths of farmworkers, 我们希望很快就能有一个标准来为室内工人提供保护.

的 2018年国家气候评估 identified heat as a major threat to labor productivity that could grow to be one of the greatest categories of adverse economic impacts of climate change on the United States. 的 cost of lost productivity alone could exceed $200 billion dollars per year by the end of this century.

California needs to continue its work to get ahead of this issue by finalizing a strong indoor heat standard that can be a national model.

十大赌网app下载很自豪能成为与Public Citizen联盟的一部分, 国家资源辩护律师, 农场工人正义组织和许多工会, 工人组织, and environmental and public health advocates that in 2018 called on OSHA promulgate a rule to protect workers from the hazards of excessive heat.
